Twelve-time Grammy-winner Alicia Keys releases her fourth studio album, The Element of Freedom, today. Her last studio CD, As I Am, went triple-platinum in 2008. Freedom includes the hit singles “Doesn’t Mean Anything” and “Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart.” Alicia told MTV News that the CD has a “strong, edgy feel”, but is also “intimate and vulnerable and delicate.”
You might have heard the CD on Facebook, where Alicia streamed it for free through an application–the first major recording artist to do so.
Alicia is also releasing a deluxe edition on Saturday, which features bonus tracks and a DVD with “intimate studio performances.”
